The 2025 Competition, organised by the Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs of Ripon, was held at St. John’s Church, Sharow on 14th & 15th November . It was adjudicated by Christina Thomson and the winners were :-
CLASS 1 (up to and including Grade 1)

Section 1 (Years 4 to 8) : Thomas Webster & Felix Fletcher (Violin duet);
Section 2 (Years 9 to 13): Evalyn Webster & Elodie Fletcher (Flute & Violin duet) – Class Winner;
CLASS 4 (Two skills)
Section 1 (up to Year 8) : Isobel Cowie (Violin & Piano) ;
Section 2 (Year 9 upwards): Amy Viner ( Voice & Piano) – Class winner ;
CLASS 5 (Years 7 & 8)

Section 2 : Nazar Babaiev (Violin) ;
Section 3 : Evalyn Webster ( Flute) – Class winner ;
Section 4 : Scarlett Richardson (Voice)
CLASS 6 (Years 9 & 10) –

Cups were awarded to each of the Class winners named above and a cup was also awarded to Thomas Webster as a highly promising young musician .

CLASS 5
Section 3 : Fenella Mitchell (Flute) ;
Section 4 : Oliver Bennington (Voice) ;
CLASS 6
Section 2 : Alice Heath (Violin) ;
Section 4: Xander Galloway-Gee (Voice) and
Theodora Brodie (Voice) ;
The European Piano Teachers Association trophy for Piano Performance was awarded to
Amy Viner;
The Scullion Cup for Singing was awarded to
Scarlett Richardson ; and
The Founders’ Cup for The Most Promising Instrumentalist was awarded to
Evalyn Webster (Flute).
Two of the above-mentioned winners , JOYCE FUNG ( Flautist) and LILY SADLER (Singer) were chosen to go forward to the Rotary District Competition .
