Cash prizes for each section winner :-
Class 1 – £ 10 ; Class 2 – £ 10 ; Class 3 – £ 20 (per ensemble) ;
Class 4 – £ 20 ; Class 5 – £20 ; Class 6 – £ 25 ; Class 7 – £ 25 .
Medals : All winners, including winning ensemble players will receive a medal.
Cups : One winner (as chosen by the adjudicator) from each entire class will
receive a cup . The Class 1 cup was donated by the Inner Wheel Club of Ripon
Rowels and the one for Class 3 was donated by the Inner Wheel Club of Ripon In Memory of the late Muriel Smallwood .
In addition, the following special cups will be awarded by the adjudicator :-
The European Piano Teachers Association Cup for Piano Performance ;
The Scullion Cup for Singing ;
The Cup for Most Promising Instrumentalist (donated by David and the late Sheila Winpenny, the founders of the Ripon Young Musicians Competition ) .
Every performer will receive a certificate, along with the adjudicator’s comments on their performance . No marks will be awarded, but very good performances other than winning performances may be highly commended by the adjudicator .
