RIPON YOUNG MUSICIANS OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

The 2026 Ripon Competition will be held on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st November Adjudicator: to be confirmed

NB. The District Round of the Rotary National competition will be held at St John’s Church Sharow on Sunday 8th February 2026 at 1pm

NB Please note changes to Class 1 (removing the age restriction) and to Classes 5, 6 and 7 (introducing separate sections for keyboard and strings).

the competition is organised by

Ripon Rotary Club, Ripon Rowels Rotary Club, Inner Wheel Club of Ripon, and Inner Wheel Club of Ripon Rowels

The Competition:

Encouraging local young musicians up to and including age 18, giving them an opportunity to perform and for their talent to be recognised.

Open to young musicians who live within, or are at school within, or who have private music lessons within, a 15-mile radius of Ripon

There are 6 solo competitive classes and an ensemble class

Admission  to  the  competition is free and  to the concert  is  by  ticket  in advance or on  the  door
